The 2024 Fourth of July Parade, organized by the city of Aspen, took place in the heart of downtown Aspen on Thursday morning. This beloved Independence Day event drew both residents and visitors eager to partake in the time-honored celebration.

The parade showcased an impressive array of participants, including floats from local businesses, community service organizations, and non-profits. A notable addition this year allowed attendees to vote for their favorite parade floats, enhancing community engagement.

The winners in five categories were as follows:

– Crowd Favorite: Aviator Nation

– Most Patriotic: Valley Veterans

– Best Yeti Theme: Aspen Valley Hospital

– Kid-Friendly: Aspen Valley Friendship Circle & Chabad

– Wet N’ Wild: Elk Mountain Expeditions

“We’re thrilled to host this cherished Fourth of July tradition again, and we’re especially excited about the increased community involvement this year with the public voting,” said Wesy Armour-Cook, special events assistant manager. “A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the volunteers whose dedication makes this parade possible for the city of Aspen.”
