Fifth seed Daniil Medvedev reached the third round at 2024 Wimbledon after beating Frenchman Alexandre Muller. The Russian dropped the first set that was decided through tie-break. However, he eventually won the men's singles second-round clash 6-7(3), 7-6(4), 6-4, 7-5. Notably, Medvedev has qualified for this stage at Wimbledon for the second successive edition. He was through to the semi-finals last year.
