Monitor partially dim

Hi, I'm really not sure on what to do, so I joined since I'm not really in a position to afford a replacement, so this is kind of my last resort to find a solution as there's no one in the local area with the expertise that I know of able to do these sort of repairs

There's a dark spot on my monitor, I've taken a photo of what it looks like and posted it here - https://postimg.cc/1gs7ssCT

I've tried:
1) Reinstalling display drivers
2) Turning it off and on
3) Applying pressure to the area while restarting it
4) Tapping/pressing it
5) Changing port on my gpu
6) Other monitors work fine
7) Restarting my pc multiple times

It's been doing it for about 5 days, everytime the monitor goes to sleep, after the 5th time or so I just left it on, but silly me forgot to change the screensaver settings and now it wont go away at all, and when the screen came back on, there it was again. Previously I had a temp solution by changing the input on my monitor with the button repeatedly, the particular spot used to blink on and off, and at one stage the entire monitor was blinking on and off. I've just go no knowledge of how to fix this stuff and much of the stuff on the internet is a little too vague for me to even properly diagnose the problem, but it seems it's not getting power to the light there?

- I was planning on following this tutorial if all else failed, but what do you guys think? Any advice is appreciated. So even a heads up on whether its worth pulling apart or not is better than me just winging it.
