InterContinental Hotels & Resorts proudly introduces its debut property in the Greek Islands with InterContinental Crete. This addition strengthens IHG Hotels & Resorts’ extensive luxury and lifestyle portfolio, now ranked as the world’s second largest. InterContinental Crete epitomizes contemporary Greek hospitality, marking one of the brand’s initial openings following a transformative evolution announcement. InterContinental is innovating the luxury travel experience, drawing on a rich legacy spanning over 75 years, as it begins this new chapter.

InterContinental Crete offers panoramic bay views against a rugged coastal backdrop. This pristine coastal resort boasts striking modern architecture and state-of-the-art amenities, enveloping guests in tranquility while conveniently located near the cosmopolitan city of Agios Nikolaos. Amenities at InterContinental Crete include two outdoor infinity pools overlooking Mirabello Bay, three Mediterranean-inspired restaurants overseen by renowned Michelin-starred Chef Consultant Nikos Roussos, a nature-inspired wellness center, and a range of family-friendly facilities. Upon entering the reception, guests are greeted by an original sculpture blending elements of the Sphinx and Minotaur, emblematic figures from Crete’s ancient history. A striking installation symbolizing vitality stretches vertically behind, adorned with bronze creatures along corridor handrails, awaiting discovery by guests en route to their rooms.

Guiding the culinary experience at the hotel’s three Greek restaurants – ZEUS, KNOSSOS, and MINOAN – is Chef Consultant Nikos Roussos. Renowned for his two Michelin stars and leadership of acclaimed modern Greek eateries in London, Roussos crafts menus that honor Cretan culinary heritage using locally sourced ingredients and reflecting seasonal flavors.
