In a bid to popularize the benefits of nano fertilizers for the farmers of the country, the fertilizer cooperative-IFFCO has launched a massive campaign for the promotion of the use of Nano fertilizer on Monday.
The campaign will be run for 100 days and under this nano fertilizers will be made available to each village. IFFCO also selected 200 model nano villages (cluster) and gave 25 percent subsidy on the price (MRP) of Nano Urea plus, Nano DAP and Sagarika to the farmers.
The IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi through his ‘X’ wall made the announcement.
Besides, under the campaign, 1270 demonstrations of IFFCO Nano DAP (liquid) will be held in 413 districts and 200 demonstrations of IFFCO Nano Urea Plus (Liquid) will be held in 100 districts of the country.
These demonstrations will be held through Krishi Vigyan Kendra, State Agricultural Universities and Institutes etc. which will be directly monitored by the Government of India.
The IFFCO has also made a plan to provide 6 crore Nano fertilizer bottles, which will be distributed through IFFCO’s thirty six thousand member cooperative societies and other cooperative societies.
The idea is to promote nano fertilizers among the farmers.
The IFFCO accomplished the sale of 2.04 crore bottles of our IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid and 44 Lakh bottles of IFFCO Nano DAP Liquid during the FY 2023-24.
IFFCO’s step towards Precision farming & Sustainable Agriculture in the form of Nanotechnology has been a game-changer for the fertilizer sector this past year.
The fertilizer cooperative produced 8.53 Crores bottles of Nano Urea equal to 38.4 Lakh MT of conventional Urea and 96 lakh bottles of Nano DAP equivalent to 4.80 Lakh MT of conventional DAP.
Besides, the fertiliser cooperative held more than 80,000 field demonstrations and trained more than 1500 rural entrepreneurs for operating agricultural drones & spraying of nano fertilisers.
