SNAPSHOT: Regional SkillsUSA medalist, ready to build his future

A Class of 2024 senior is ready to move the world — literally — using the skills he has gained at Capital Region BOCES. Kyle Dafeldecker graduated from the Heavy Equipment Operation, Maintenance & Repair program offered on the Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education Center. Throughout his two years in the program, he and other students learned how to operate and maintain large construction-related equipment, such as backhoes, dozers, front-end loaders and excavators. Students also learn how to diagnose and repair common issues with diesel engines and heavy machines. (Photo provided)
