Event Overview

On June 29, the event “‘See the Spectacular and Kaleidoscopic China’—Victoria Park Celebrates the Return of Hong Kong” opened in Victoria Park, Hong Kong, captivating audiences with the unique charm of Deyang.

Immersive Experiences and Cultural Highlights

The exhibition featured immersive experiences, including the Sanxingdui VR interactive cabin, which allowed visitors to delve into the archaeological research process. Attendees enjoyed Sanxingdui cultural and creative products, observed the skills of intangible cultural heritage artisans, and indulged in various specialty food stalls, fully immersing themselves in Deyang’s scenic beauty and the mysterious Sanxingdui culture.

Sanxingdui Exhibit: A Step Back in Time

The Sanxingdui exhibit was particularly popular. In the Sanxingdui VR interactive cabin, visitors virtually “walked” into the Sanxingdui archaeological site, exploring new archaeological technologies. By scanning the QR code of the Sanxingdui Museum, they admired impressive artifacts, including a bronze statue over 2 meters tall, a bronze mask with protruding eyes and big ears, and a gold mask with 85% gold content. This experience transported them back in time, unfolding the life of the ancient Shu people.

Cultural and Creative Products

More than 40 cultural and creative products from the Sanxingdui Museum were showcased, including the “Chuan Shu Xiaodui” blind box, “Long Hu Zun” tea set, bronze bird plush toy, and bronze standing man, all of which were popular among attendees.

Local Specialties and Intangible Cultural Heritage

Local specialties such as Mianzhu New Year’s paintings, Deyang Chaozhou-style round fans, Luojiang soybean meat, eight delicacies oily cake, and Changlin century eggs attracted many visitors. These unique items, along with intangible cultural heritage skills and distinctive foods, drew crowds who eagerly watched, tasted, and purchased.

Highlighting Deyang’s Cultural Landmarks

The exhibition also highlighted other cultural landmarks of Deyang, including China Dried Noodle Village, China Mianzhu New Year’s Painting Village, Sanxingdui, and Long Men Zhi Dian International Tourism Resort.
