After getting rained out 1.1 innings into their game Wednesday and enjoying an off-day Thursday, the Red Sox (43-37) are spending the last weekend of June hosting one of their most beloved former players.

For the first time in his career, Xander Bogaerts is at Fenway Park as a visiting player. He won’t, however, be in the San Diego Padres (44-41) lineup, as he’s been on the injured list since fracturing his shoulder on May 20.

This weekend also marks longtime Red Sox play-by-play icon Don Orsillo’s first series at Fenway Park as a member of a non-national broadcast.
