Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India), HRAWI, recently organized an extensive Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Held at Hotel Airport Centre Point in Nagpur on June 22nd, the event drew 34 hospitality professionals who received training from Dr. V. Pasupathy of Parikshan. The initiative by FSSAI aims to empower professionals with essential knowledge and skills for maintaining safe and hygienic food practices.
The training session commenced with an inauguration attended by notable figures including Dr. V. Pasupathy from Parikshan, Mr. Tejinder Singh Renu – EC member & City Coordinator (Nagpur) at HRAWI, Mr. Vinod Joshi – Treasurer, Mr. Nitin Mehta – Executive Body Member, and Mr. Kamal Mulchandani – Member from the Nagpur Residential Hotels Association.
Participants underwent comprehensive training covering crucial aspects such as food handling, preparation techniques, hygiene standards, sanitation practices, and effective waste management. By emphasizing these critical areas, the programme equipped attendees with practical skills to enforce stringent food safety protocols in their day-to-day operations.
HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,030 professionals through FSSAI’s FoSTaC Training Programme, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing food safety standards within the hospitality sector.
