Tenacious D Want You to ‘Rock the Vote’ With Them Live
Tenacious D are hitting the road for five select dates benefiting Rock the Vote, the nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to building the political power of young people.
The duo is playing five shows in October leading up to the 2024 presidential election, including concerts in the swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, which are among the crucial battleground states for the 2024 election.
General onsale tickets are available beginning June 28 at 10 a.m. local time, with artist presale available now and local presales taking place on Thursday, June 27. More information is available on Tenacious D’s website.
This is the second time “the greatest band in the world,” as they call themselves, has teamed up with Rock the Vote. In 2020, Tenacious D released their cover of Rocky Horror Picture Show’s “Time Warp,” with proceeds benefiting the organization. The music video featured an all-star cast, including Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Susan Sarandon, Sarah Silverman, John Waters, Jamie Lee Curtis, Karen O, Reggie Watts, Ilana Glazer, Phoebe Bridgers, John Heilemann, George Takei, Eric Andre, King Princess, Michael Peña, and Peaches.
In March, Tenacious D dropped another cover of a song, Britney Spears’ classic, “…Baby One More Time,” which appears on the Kung Fu Panda 4 soundtrack.
