Reading Time: 3 minutesHyatt Hotels Corporation today announced the expansion of its brand presence in New Orleans with the addition of Maison Métier (formerly Maison de la Luz) and The Barnett (formerly Ace Hotel New Orleans) to its portfolio. These hotels will join Hyatt’s Independent Collection and participate in the World of Hyatt loyalty program this year. Both properties are owned by The Domain Companies and managed by HRI Hospitality.
Hyatt’s Independent Collection brands feature unique properties, each with its own distinct identity and experience. From historic hotels and lively neighborhood spots to immersive retreats, every independently branded property enhances the modern traveler’s journey with unique and exciting offerings.

ust one block from New Orleans’ renowned Lafayette Square, these two properties will soon join Hyatt’s Independent Collection. They will offer unique guest experiences, stylish accommodations, and bold food and beverage programs, providing enriching and authentic stays for today’s travelers.
Expected to join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in 2024, Maison Métier is housed in a preserved 1908 building. This Parisian luxury guesthouse combines historic architectural integrity with contemporary finishes and furnishings. The hotel boasts 67 luxurious guestrooms and suites, each with well-appointed interiors and immersive design elements. The hotel’s salon-style bar, formerly Bar Marilou, maintains its partnership with Paris-based Quixotic Projects and continues to be a swanky favorite among New Orleanians, offering culinary delights and creative cocktails.
Expected to join the JdV by Hyatt brand in 2024, The Barnett honors its history as Barnett’s Furniture Store, a beloved neighborhood fixture. Located in the vibrant Warehouse District, the hotel merges Art Deco and French Modernism influences, celebrating the city’s past and offering guests an authentic New Orleans experience. The Barnett features a live music venue and thoughtfully updated property-wide amenities. Its culinary venues will showcase new identities, including the former mainstay Italian restaurant Josephine Estelle, rooftop and pool bar Alto, and music venue Three Keys. Seaworthy restaurant will continue under the same brand and culinary leadership. Guests can anticipate updates to The Barnett’s bars and restaurants to be unveiled this Fall.
