The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced a significant update for Umrah travelers. They can now avail e-visas within 24 hours, and their duration has been extended to 90 days, up from the previous 30 days.

This change allows worshipers to start arriving from the first day of Muharram, which falls on July 19 this year, according to a news channel.

Efficient E-Visa Application Process

The Ministry stated that applications for Umrah e-visas can be submitted through the Nusuk platform.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that this initiative aims to enhance the quality of services provided to worshipers and facilitate their access to the Kingdom.

The Nusuk platform, designed to streamline the process of welcoming Muslims to Makkah and Madinah, will be used for electronic visa applications.

This user-friendly platform allows individuals worldwide to easily apply for e-visas and access a range of services, including accommodation, transportation, and residency options.

Comprehensive Services on the Nusuk Platform

The Nusuk platform offers informative resources and interactive maps in multiple languages, available at all times.

These resources help ensure that visitors can navigate their pilgrimage smoothly and make the most of their religious journey.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in collaboration with relevant authorities, has previously announced that Muslims holding visas for tourism from the GCC countries, as well as entry visas to Schengen countries, the US, and the UK, can make reservations for Umrah and visit Al-Rawdah in Madinah through the Nusuk application before their arrival in the Kingdom.

Inclusive Visa Services

The ministry is also extending its services to include visa holders such as those with family visas and transit visas, allowing them to perform Umrah rituals using the Nusuk application.

The updated Umrah visa policy, which includes a 24-hour issuance process and a duration extension to 90 days, comes with no health requirements for obtaining the visa.

Additionally, women are not required to be accompanied by a male guardian.

Enhanced Religious and Cultural Experience

These changes allow visitors to move freely within the Kingdom, enhancing their religious and cultural experience.

The streamlined visa process and extended duration will undoubtedly make it easier for worshipers to plan their pilgrimage and immerse themselves in the spiritual journey to Makkah and Madinah.
