I write to express my wonder about Amherst’s so very beautiful Sweet Alice pond and trails. We are so very lucky, blessed even that it can exist amidst us, and be managed by the totally socially and ecologically responsible, Kestrel Land Trust. Idyllic and so close to greatness except when the bulleteers are out for shooting practice. Why is this so? I am incredulous. Someone said they practiced Sundays (prime family and pet time) and also Tuesday. And now Wednesday. Pets are scared, peace is stopped short. And the unaware civilian soldiers upset a great thing. Too good, too bad.
