Russ Pirkot: Leave trees alone for tag sales

It’s tag sale season in Greenfield, and while walking in the center of town recently I’ve been seeing more and more signs advertising tag sales pinned to trees in public spaces. I’d rather not see anything pinned or stapled to these trees, but the other thing is that I’ve been seeing these signs after the tag sales have already happened. Since I’ve hunched that nobody was going to come and remove them, I’ve been doing it myself, pulling the push-pins out of the tree bark and recycling the cardboard signs. I hope that I won’t need to be doing this for the next few months!
