The best 17-inch laptop deals from HP, LG, Razer, and more

If you’re the type of person who prefers having a larger screen, then going for a 17-inch laptop probably makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, there aren’t a ton of 17-inch laptops on the market, and for the most part, you’ll be looking among the ranks of the best gaming laptops to find yourself a solid option. That said, there are some budget-friendly ways to go, and you don’t have to grab one of the best laptops with a high price tag to nab yourself a 17-inch laptop. Luckily, some of the best laptop brands out there make 17-inch laptops, so you’re not having to rely on a generic brand.

To that end, we’ve gone out and found some of our favorite 17-inch laptop deals out there, including HP laptop deals, Dell laptop deals (and Dell XPS laptop deals), and gaming laptop deals.

HP 17.3-inch laptop — $360, was $550

HP

HP makes a huge range of laptop models to suit various needs, and this regularly places it among the best laptop brands. This 17.3-inch HP laptop is on the entry-level end of the model lineup, though it does have some slightly upgraded specs for getting your work or studies done throughout the day. It checks in with 8GB of RAM and a blazing fast 256GB solid state drive. It also has an AMD Ryzen 5 7530U processor and AMD Radeon Graphics. While these are closer to the entry-level range, this laptop can still get things done. You’ll also find Windows 11 preinstalled to ensure you’re up and running in no time after breaking it out of the box.

ASUS TUF A17 gaming laptop —  $1,298, was $1,500

While the ASUS TUF A17 might not be the most powerful 17-inch laptop, it’s a great entry-level option for those who also want to have a little bit of gaming capability. It has an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, which is a mid-range option that is perfect for those who need something for work and creativity tasks. The RTX 4060 under the hood is also pretty great and will run the FHD resolution pretty well, even potentially hitting the 144Hz refresh rate it is capable of. The 16GB of DDR5 RAM is also certainly appreciated, since it’s not always easy to find that on a gaming laptop at this price range.

LG Gram 17-inch laptop — $1,400, was $1,800

LG

The larger footprint of a 17-inch laptop allows for extra room for bulkier, more powerful hardware, and the LG Gram takes advantage of it. Its upgraded specs include 16GB of RAM and a 2TB solid state drive. It also has Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, allowing you to connect dual 4K monitors or a single 8K monitor. Specs like these put this laptop into a near-professional category, yet its price point makes it an option for anybody looking for a capable laptop. Despite its larger screen size, the LG Gram is designed to be ultra light and portable.

GIGABYTE AORUS 17 — $1,550, was $1,750

Gigabyte

If you want a solid mid-range gaming laptop that doesn’t come from one of the big names, then this GIGABYTE AORUS 17 is the perfect way to go. It has an RTX 4070, which may struggle a little bit with the QHD resolution, especially if you try to push it to its truly impressive 240 Hz refresh rate. That said, it does give you some leeway to prioritize the graphics or the refresh rate if you’d like to play more competitive games from time to time. As for the processor you get an Intel i7-13700H, and combined with the 16GB of RAM, should be more than enough to give you a silky smooth day to day experience.

ASUS ROG Strix 17-inch gaming laptop — $1,600, was $1,900

The 17-inch model of the ASUS ROG Strix shows just what a powerful yet affordable gaming laptop can do. It comes with an AMD Risen 9 processor and 16GB of RAM, as well as a super powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. A full 1TB of solid-state storage should be plenty to house even the best PC games. This laptop also features the ROG intelligent cooling system that will keep you gaming for hours on end without overheating.

MSI Stealth 17 — $2,700, was $3,000

MSI

While MSI may be more well-known for making motherboards and graphics card variations, it also makes a pretty great gaming laptop, such as the MSI Stealth 17. Impressively, it has an RTX 4080 under the hood, which is perfect for 2k gaming and can also handle some 4k gaming at a lower refresh range and graphical settings. It also comes with one of the most powerful CPUs on the market, the Intel Core i9-13900H, as well as a whopping 32GB of RAM, so you’ll absolutely get a smooth overall experience with it.

HP Spectre 3-in-1 17 Foldable Laptop — $4,400, was $5,000

If you thought foldable technology was relegated to just smartphones and tablets, well, we’re happy to tell you that the tech exists in laptops, too, which is great if you’re a fan of foldable technology. One of the best examples is this HP Spectre 3-in-1 that can fold its 2.5K OLED screen in a couple of different ways, which should help save you a bit of extra space in your bag if you need it. It comes with a solid Intel Evo Platform Core i7 processor that should handle most tasks perfectly, while the 16GB of RAM means you aren’t going to constantly have to manage tabs and apps. Of course, it is pretty pricey, but that’s how it is with the latest tech.
