Reading Time: 5 minutesNestled in communities worldwide, Hotel Indigo, a part of IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), is set to double its portfolio in the next three to five years. This expansion means more Hotel Indigo properties will be available in diverse locations across the globe.
With 154 hotels operating in 25 countries, Hotel Indigo currently ranks as the second-largest brand in IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, second only to InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. As it continues to grow, the brand is enhancing its lifestyle offerings by adding five new resort properties in 2024. These new locations will range from the stunning shores of the Cayman Islands to the breathtaking peaks of Oman’s mountain ranges.
“Each Hotel Indigo is a vibrant reflection of its surrounding landscape, intricately woven with the threads of its local neighborhood,” said Carol Hoeller, Vice President of Global Brand Management for Hotel Indigo and voco Hotels. “Although Hotel Indigo is often associated with urban settings, neighborhoods can be found in every corner of the globe, each with its own story waiting to be discovered, so it only made sense as we strive to set new standards in the ‘premium lifestyle’ space to expand our resorts offerings across the portfolio.”
While the resort segment is not a new venture for the Hotel Indigo brand, which currently boasts 15 open resorts across six regions, it remains a crucial area for growth. With 34 more resorts in development, this expansion will enable the brand to enhance its commitment to offering vibrant, local, and personalized guest experiences in unique travel destinations.
