Reading Time: 2 minutesThe “International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” is currently captivating audiences at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf from June 14 to June 23. Highlighting the event is the “City of Gastronomy Showcase,” which features 60 extraordinary culinary presentations by chefs from 26 UNESCO-designated Creative Cities of Gastronomy spanning continents from Asia to the Americas. This showcase not only highlights the rich culinary traditions from around the world but also supports the synergistic growth of tourism and gastronomy in Macao.
Attendees can enjoy free tastings of specialties from five European, African, and Oceanian Cities of Gastronomy. Each day from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. until June 23, the showcase offers six to seven different culinary sessions. Following the enthusiastic response to presentations by the Chinese Cities of Gastronomy, the stage now welcomes chefs from Bohicon (Benin), Launceston (Australia), Östersund (Sweden), Parma (Italy), and Thessaloniki (Greece). These chefs are hosting ten sessions at the Main Stage along Legend Boulevard, bringing unique dishes such as Bomiwô, Cape Grim Beef Tartare, Mushroom Butter Foam, Flavours of Parma in a Risotto, and Octopus Giouvetsi. This event allows visitors to dive into a diverse gastronomic experience while chefs share their expertise and unique culinary traditions.

Additionally, the “International Gastronomy Promenade” enhances the festival experience with 100 food stalls offering a plethora of Asian delicacies, about 700 dining seats, interactive game zones, a seaside bar, and live entertainment.
This festivity not only showcases Macao’s unique position as an international culinary hub but also serves as a dynamic platform for cultural exchange and culinary innovation. In line with the city’s “1 + 4” development strategy for economic diversification, this year’s festival integrates various sectors including wellness and tourism, reinforcing Macao’s role as a vibrant UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
