CUMMINGTON — A special Town Meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. to seek voter approval for the amended agreement with the Central Berkshire Regional School District.
Officials are also seeking approval of a change in terminology in the town’s general and zoning bylaws, under which “Selectboard” would be substituted for “Board of Selectmen” and “Selectmen” where that term refers to the board as a whole, and “Selectboard member(s)” for “Selectman” or “Selectmen.”
Also on the warrant are some cash transfer requests and a revision to an article that was approved at the annual Town Meeting May 3.
The article seeks voter authorization for the employment of members of various boards and commissions by municipal bodies. The amended article sets the hourly rate of compensation for such employment at $20.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Community House.
