Thank you to the Gazette for featuring the wonderful Amherst Regional High School graduating class of 2024 in your June 10 issue. The educators and clerical staff of the Amherst Pelham Education Association are excited to highlight the achievements of three of these grads who are the recipients of the 2024 APEA Scholarships. These scholarships were established by educators of ARPS to support the aspirations of three ARHS seniors who strive to build on their leadership qualities to make a positive influence on society. The graduating seniors receiving the awards are, Brenden Camphor, Ashley Rodriguez Duran and Jocelyn Vargas. This year’s winners demonstrated leadership skills they obtained from ARHS clubs like POCU (People of Color United). They articulated how they plan to give back to their community, such as through careers in nursing, social work, and immigration law. Each winner received a $1,000 check made out to the school they are attending. The APEA is proud to honor these outstanding young people and happy to support their goals for the future.
