Sun Siyam Resorts Taps Sabre Technology to Enhance Revenue and Global Reach

Sabre Corporation, a leading software and technology provider for the global travel industry, has announced a new partnership with the Maldivian-owned and founded Sun Siyam Resorts. With over 30 years of experience, Sun Siyam Resorts owns and manages five luxury private island properties in the Maldives and a boutique beach retreat on Sri Lanka’s East Coast. The group has selected Sabre Hospitality’s SynXis platform to expand its reach and increase revenue.

The SynXis Central Reservations System (CRS) will be the foundation of Sun Siyam’s distribution network. With SynXis Channel Connect, GDS connectivity, and the SynXis Booking Engine, Sun Siyam Resorts can effortlessly distribute its room inventory through its direct channels, an extensive network of travel agencies, over 600 global OTAs, major global distribution systems including Sabre’s, and prominent meta search engines like Google, TripAdvisor, and Kayak. Additionally, the brand will utilize Sabre Hospitality’s Corporate Booking Tool to allow travel agents to manage wholesale bookings at its properties.

Furthermore, SynXis Retailing will enable Sun Siyam to personalize the booking journey, offering guests tailored experiences, amenities, and wellness options during the reservation process. The resorts provide unique experiences such as whale watching, fishing, elephant safaris, and sandbank dining. SynXis Retailing will enhance pre-stay planning for guests while boosting revenue opportunities for Sun Siyam Resorts.

Founded by Ahmed Siyam Mohamed in 1990, Sun Siyam Resorts currently features five properties in the Maldives and a boutique beach retreat on Sri Lanka’s East Coast. The retreat, Sun Siyam Pasikudah, underwent significant refurbishment and reopened in late 2023.
