Allen Coaching Student Commits Suicide: 14th Student Death Since January

Kota, Rajasthan: The spate of suicides by coaching students in Kota, the coaching capital of India, continues unabated. In the period between January and June 15, 14 coaching students have ended their lives.

On Saturday night, a student of Allen Coaching Institute in Mahavir Nagar police station area hanged himself in his room. The police, upon receiving the information, brought him down from the noose and took him to MBS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The police have informed the student’s family. The postmortem will be conducted after their arrival.

The coaching student had been living in Kota for the past two years and was preparing for JEE along with 12th class from Allen Coaching Institute. He lived in a PG here. The student’s friend informed the police about the suicide.

Police Inspector Mahendra Kumar Maru said that a minor coaching student from Champaran district of Bihar, residing in Mahavir Nagar III, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. The coaching student had been preparing for JEE from Allen Coaching for the past two years and lived in a PG. No suicide note was found from the coaching student.

The police have kept the body in the mortuary for the time being. The police are investigating the case. We tried to get the version of Allen’s director Naveen Maheshwari and Nitesh Sharma by phone and WhatsApp message, but they did not respond.
