easyJet, the dominant carrier at Bristol, today unveiled three exciting new routes from Bristol Airport, set to commence this winter. Starting December 5th, the airline will offer a unique, twice-weekly service to Tromso, Norway—its first venture to this destination. Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, providing travelers the perfect gateway to one of the world’s top spots for viewing the Northern Lights.

In its largest expansion yet, easyJet has put 33 new routes on sale across the UK this winter. Among these, a new connection to Istanbul begins on November 4th, flying on Mondays and Fridays. This route offers a journey to the heart of where East meets West, in a city steeped in rich culture.

Additionally, easyJet introduces a service to Agadir, Morocco, starting October 27th and operating on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays throughout the winter, further enhancing the variety of destinations for customers.

Supporting these expansions, easyJet will station a new Airbus A320 in Manchester later this month, a move that will generate over 400 indirect jobs. These new routes promise a diverse mix of destinations, catering to travelers looking to unwind by pristine waters or explore some of Europe’s most picturesque cities.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:

“We are delighted to be adding three new routes from Bristol this winter which all offer something for everyone from arctic winter escapes, to winter sun and city exploring we are providing more choice for customers from across the South West who choose us for our unrivalled network, fantastic service and great value fares.”

Dave Lees, CEO, Bristol Airport:

“The added easyJet routes to Istanbul, Agadir and Tromso are great news for customers in the South West and Wales region. The two brand-new destinations to Istanbul and Tromso provides customers with even more fantastic choice.

“The brand-new service between Bristol and Istanbul opens up a wide range of connecting flights for customers in the region. Istanbul is a great city for business or leisure customers and will no doubt appeal to travellers flying from their local airport.

“We are excited to welcome the new Tromso route. The Norwegian town will appeal to customers in the region due to its location within the artic circle and an abundance of cold-weather activities.

“Today’s announcement further extends the choice and flexibility of flights available from Bristol Airport and we look forward to working with easyJet on further new route opportunities in the coming months.”

easyJet enhances its network from Bristol, connecting to major European cities such as Paris and Amsterdam, along with enticing leisure spots including Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Turkey, and Egypt. The airline offers competitive fares and flexible schedules suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Currently, easyJet serves 80 destinations, transporting over 6 million passengers from this airport in the past year.
