Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:00AM

Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 3.21%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 3.09%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 2.92%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.78%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.83%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.56%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.55%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.54%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.19%) and The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 1.16%) were among the top gainers.

Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.58%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 0.24%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.06%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 159.91 points up at 23424.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 539.54 points at 76996.13 at around 11:00AM.

Coal India Ltd.(up 2.65%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.67%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 1.49%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.45%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.39%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.32%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.31%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.27%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.25%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.25%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.04%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.83%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.77%), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.71%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.23%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.11%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.07%) were trading in the red.
