Pandya for his last over. Two short ball and Harmeet isn’t able to time both of them. Rohit has taken a review for caught behind. It’s not out, the ball hit Harmeet’s shoulder. Yorker! Pandya’s first three balls: bouncer, bouncer, yorker. Followed by an off-cutter on length and Harmeet has no idea but takes a single somehow. OUT! Anderson tries to slog, gets a top edge and Rishabh Pant takes a good running catch. Just one run from the over. 

Bumrah is back. Squares up Anderson but the outside edge goes past keeper for four. Five runs in first three balls. SIX! Harmeet gets off the mark with a hook over fine leg. He was not in control fully but gets the result. 14 runs from the over. 

Arshdeep is back. Nitish trying to attack but isn’t able to get bat on the ball. OUT! Siraj takes a brilliant catch at the deep square leg. Nitish is gone. Short ball pulled nicely but not enough power eventually, as Siraj plucks the ball out of thin air to deny a six. 

Harmeet Singh in at seven. Just one run from the over. 

Axar Patel continues. Two singles off the first four deliveries before Corey Anderson hit a SIX with a slog-sweep over deep midwicket. Nine off this over. 

Hardik Pandya with his third over. Hardik to Nitish, SIX! This is good batting from Nitish. FOUR! Down the ground. Nitish is making sure USA has a respectable total on the board.

Jasprit Bumrah continues. A couple of singles from the first three deliveries. FIVE WIDES! Bumrah bowls short, and the ball rises above the batter and the keeper to give five extras. Seven off this over. 

Rohit introduces changes from both ends. Hardik Pandya replaces Mohammed Siraj from the other end. The run-scoring has been sparse for USA as it only manages a single off this over. End of the PowerPlay as USA only manages 18.

A first change in the bowling attack as Jasprit Bumrah comes in place of Arshdeep Singh. Taylor manages a single off the first delivery. Bumrah bowls five quality deliveries to end the over with five dots. Just a single off his first delivery. 

Siraj continues from the other end. A dot delivery to start the over. Jones plays a gorgeous drive over cover for a couple of runs before Siraj uses the full-pitched delivery to beat the USA skipper twice in two deliveries. Siraj to Jones, SIX! First boundary for the USA as Jones brings out a swivel pull to hit a maximum over long leg. 8 off this over. 

Arshdeep Singh continues from his end. Arsh starts with an out-swinging delivery, well left by Jones. Another dot delivery as the USA batters are finding it difficult to rotate strike. A single taken by Jones before Taylor plays out the rest of the over. 

Skipper Aaron Jones is the new batter in at number four. He Steven Taylor has the strike as Mohammed Siraj comes from the other end. Taylor hits down the ground for a single to get off the mark. Jones takes one ball to open his account with a single in the third delivery. Just four runs from Siraj’s first over. 

Arshdeep Singh starts over the wicket. Shayan Jahangir is on the strike. OUT! What a start, what a delivery from Arshdeep! He keeps it in the middle and the ball swings late to trap Shayan in front for LBW. A lazy defence from Shayan was not enough this time as India draws first blood.

Andries Gous is the new batter in at no. three. Full length on off and left by Gous. Arshdeep makes an error in line and ends up bowling a WIDE to give the first runs to USA. Gous punches the full ball in front of the square for a couple of runs to open his account. Arshdeep to Gous, OUT! Arshdeep strikes again! Gous plays across against a short ball and a mistimed hit was caught by Hardik at mid-off.

Rohit Sharma: Pitch has played better in the last two games. You gotta understand what you need to do, assess conditions quickly. Gotta constantly get better in two games and continuing doing the good things that we have. Pitch will challenge in different ways. We’re going with the same team.

Aaron Johnson: We wanted to bowl first, gives advantages to bowlers but so it happens. Monank Patel has a niggle, should be back next game. Should be a good game, looking to win, which will be good. Will play hard cricket. Everything good, good vibes in the camp. Monank is out, Shehan Jahangir replaces him, and Shadley is in for Nosthush.

When Harmeet Singh made his First Class debut for Mumbai, Rohit Sharma was his teammate. Saurabh Netravalkar took the field at the 2010 Under-19 Cricket World Cup alongside K.L. Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. Nosthush Kenjige played with Ambati Rayudu for MI Emirates. Milind Kumar once shared the Royal Challengers Bangalore dressing room with Virat Kohli.
