China's exports increased by 6.1 per cent year on year from January to May 2024, while imports saw a rise of 6.4 per cent, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.Overall, the country's total goods imports and exports grew by 6.3 per cent in yuan terms during this period. The total foreign trade in goods amounted to 17.5 trillion yuan (approximately $2.46 trillion), with exports contributing 9.95 trillion yuan and imports reaching 7.55 trillion yuan.
