Focus on Environmental Responsibility: Franck Sibille, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Barcelona and Area Vice President for Spain and Morocco, emphasized Hyatt’s commitment to environmental responsibility. He noted a growing focus on sustainability from business travelers, particularly those attending Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) events.
Commitment to Sustainability: “We are experiencing a significant number of inquiries from MICE clients regarding our sustainability initiatives,” stated Sibille. “Hyatt is actively implementing practices to reduce our carbon footprint, such as utilizing recycled plastic water bottles and deploying innovative technology to combat food waste.”
Data-Driven Approach to Food Waste Reduction: Sibille elaborated on a recently implemented technology that utilizes cameras to quantify food waste across Hyatt’s hotels. This data-driven approach allows for targeted interventions to minimize waste throughout the food production and service processes.
