Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 44.47 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 9.54 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 7.99 crore), IRB Infra Dev.(number of shares traded: 6.33 crore), Mphasis(number of shares traded: 3.17 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 2.92 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 2.67 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 2.28 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 2.04 crore) and Canara Bank (number of shares traded: 2.03 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 0.3 points up at 23290.45, while BSE Sensex was down 45.01 points at 76648.35 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 3.58 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.35 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.43 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.31 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.91 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.23 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
