A new era dawns at the French Open as Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev clash for the championship title. This historic final marks the first Roland Garros without Nadal, Federer, or Djokovic since 2004.

Both players fought hard-earned victories in their semifinals to reach their maiden French Open final. Alcaraz even drew first blood, dominating the opening set 6-3.

Zverev wins second set 6-2

Serving to win the set, Zverev capitalises on an Alcaraz mis-hit, prompting the Spaniard to look back at his team in frustration.

Zverev then delivers a powerful serve down the middle, taking a 0-30 lead. Another ace follows, giving him three set points. He seals the set with a decisive volley near the net.

Zverev wins third set 7-5

Zverev edges closer to victory, serving for the set at 5-4. He claims the first point with a net attack to counter Alcaraz's return.

Alcaraz fires back with two powerful shots, forcing a tense 30-30 tie.

Zverev unleashes a sneaky slider ace, bringing him to set point. But the German's next shot sails wide after a grueling rally, giving Alcaraz a lifeline at deuce.

Unfazed by Zverev at the net, Alcaraz blasts a winner past him, earning a crucial break point. However, a miscued return pushes the score back to deuce.

Zverev seizes his second chance, hammering a volley at the net for another set point. He forces Alcaraz to chase across the court before finally securing the set with a determined rally.
