Possible drowning in Basalt, one transported to hospital

Earlier Saturday afternoon, numerous emergency responders were on scene in Basalt on Two Rivers Road.

According to Scott Thompson, fire chief for Roaring Fork Fire Rescue, two people were involved in drowning.

“I can tell you that we transported one, CPR in progress, to the hospital,” he said.

It is not clear how the event occurred, whether from a raft or tube or some other form, he added.
