Four times a year, Universal Studios Florida changes out its Tribute Store, which is more like an immersive attraction.

1. For the summer 2024 edition, the Tribute Store is a total throwback. Called the Tribute Store Plaza, it's set up like a 1980s-style shopping mall, celebrating some of the most iconic films featured in Universal’s new summertime experiences — like Ghostbusters, ET, Jaws and Shrek.

2. It has three “mega” rooms — Mega Video Rental video store, a retro Mega Castle Arcade, and the majestic Tribute Theatre.

3. Rob Cametti, Universal's senior director of Visual Merchandising and Store Design, said a lot of people will get something unexpected inside the Tribute Store Plaza. “A lot of guests will come in expecting a store,” he said. “It’s more than a store — it’s a full experience, and it’s almost an attraction on its own."

4. Even the music helps tell the story. It starts off like background music in the video store, picks up intensity in the arcade, and becomes almost cinematic once you hit the theatre.

5. You’ll find the attraction in the Hollywood area of Universal Studios Florida. Look closely, as designers put in a whole bunch of Easter eggs inspired by familiar characters and moments from the films.
