Himmatnagar : Four members of a family were killed in a road accident on the Idar highway near Himmatnagar in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat. The accident is said to have occurred late Thursday night.
The Dr. Jariwala family of Netramali was returning home by car after celebrating a birthday party. The accident took place near Bhetali in Himmatnagar. The police of Jadra police station reached the spot and sent the bodies to the civil hospital.
A stone-laden dumper hit the car near Bhetali on the Idar highway. The dead include a seven-month-old baby girl. It is said that the family had come to their native village Netramali in Sabarkantha district from Mumbai. After that, everyone went to Himmatnagar to celebrate a birthday party.
After the party, everyone was returning when they met with an accident. According to the villagers, work is going on on the Idar-Himmatnagar highway, due to which one side of the road has been closed. The villagers are angry due to the slow pace of work on the highway for a long time.
