Macau hosts MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters 2024, an exclusive event with world-renowned chefs, exquisite dishes, and immersive cultural experiences.

Building on the success of last year’s debut of the RR1 events in Macau with Robb Report Hong Kong, MGM is set to host the MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters Macau 2024 from June 28 to 30. This will be the only RR1 event in Asia, promising participants a journey through global culinary delights and unique tailored experiences, all set against Macau’s rich cultural tapestry.

RR1, a prestigious global private membership club, brings together international ultra-high-net-worth individuals for extraordinary experiences. The Culinary Masters event is a highlight of RR1, featuring the world’s most celebrated chefs and offering a retreat filled with top-tier gastronomy, exquisite wines, and engaging masterclasses. This year’s theme, “Savor 700 Years of Silk Road Flavors: A Gastronomic Odyssey,” celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Macau Special Administrative Region and commemorates 700 years of the Silk Road explorer Marco Polo. Six renowned chefs from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East will craft an immersive culinary journey that honors the flavors of the Silk Road, paying homage to the explorer who bridged Eastern and Western cultures.

The event will showcase a stellar lineup of chefs, including Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam from Thailand’s Baan Tepa, the first female Thai chef to earn two Michelin stars; Garima Arora of India’s Gaa, the first female Indian chef to achieve two Michelin stars; Marco Galtarossa of Italy’s one-Michelin-starred Villa Elena; Yang Dengquan, Executive Sous Chef at MGM COTAI’s one-Michelin-starred Five Foot Road; Sara Aqel from Jordan’s Dara Dining, known for modernizing Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian focus; and Florita Alves from Macau’s La Famiglia, a prominent advocate of Macanese cuisine. These six master chefs will collaborate for the first time to create a unique 12-hand gala dinner, showcasing their interpretations of Silk Road flavors from the Mediterranean, Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

Participants will also enjoy a variety of customized activities blending gastronomy, leisure, and entertainment, highlighting Macau’s cultural tourism appeal. Alongside world-class cuisine, guests can join cooking sessions, wine and tea masterclasses, art tours, and local Macau tours that include visits to historical sites and experiences via Macau’s cruise and light rail, exploring the East-meets-West culture of Macau. The art tour at MGM COTAI will feature contemporary art collections such as the “Legend of Chivalry” exhibition by renowned Chinese sculptor Ren Zhe, and the impressive digital art piece “Giraffe meets Qilin,” which extends the innovative “ART-TECH” concept. The “Fondant Art Exhibition” offers a delightful feast for the senses, illustrating the art of living. Displays like the mesmerizing “Sea Odyssey” and the innovative “M-Art” creative experience highlight the exceptional talents of local and regional artists, providing guests with a fresh and awe-inspiring visual experience.
