OXFORD- The Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner has ruled that one of two people found dead in a burned car in Oxford last Thursday had been shot in the head.
The man, identified as 36-year-old David Rivera of Hartford, was found in a burning vehicle by responding troopers and firefighters just after 4 a.m. along Route 34. His death has been ruled a homicide.
A second body found after the fire was doused has been identified as 39-year-old Carlos Calderon, also of Hartford . His cause of death remains pending.
State police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
