WOLCOTT – Mr. Edson L. Wright, beloved husband of Hazel (Turner) Wright, Wolcott resident for more than 60 years, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the age of 89.

Ed was born on Jan. 4, 1935 in Waterbury, son of the late Robert and Muriel (Adams) Wright. He retired from Barratt Tool Co. in Wolcott, where he worked as a toolmaker.

Ed was honest, thoughtful, kind, and was always dedicated to providing for his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, and gardening, but nothing was more important to him than his family.

In addition to his wife Hazel of 67 years, Ed leaves to carry on his legacy his two sons, Robert and his wife Christine Wright, Gregory and his wife Roseann Wright; his two daughters, Lindsay Moran and her partner Brian Morrone, Dianne and her husband Timothy Lehmann; his 12 grandchildren, Heather Parent (Richard), Ryan Moran, Christopher Moran (Carly), Andrew Lehmann, Elizabeth Lehmann, Scott Lehmann, Alyssa Wright, Jennifer Ballesteros (Jerome), Robert Wright Jr. (Aubrey), Brandon Wright (Christine), Matthew Wright, Nicholas Wright; 11 great-grandchildren, Liam, Cameron, Madeline, Greyson, Harper, Robert III, Jack, Grace, Emma, James, Vivian, and another to arrive soon. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Ed was predeceased by his brother Lloyd Wright, and his sister Elaine Larson.

Calling hours are Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road in Wolcott; service to follow at 4:30 p.m.
