Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.82% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:20AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 6.05 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 2.69 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent) and Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 0.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 3.64 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.82 per cent at 984.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 462.91 points at 22347.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 1455.42 points at 73534.47.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BEL, YES Bank, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Bhagiradha Chem, Heritage Foods, Emami, V Mart Retail and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, Bodhi Tree Multimedia, Sintex Plastics Tech, Morarjee Text and Osia Hyper Retail hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
