Harnett Co. deputies investigate sexual misconduct allegations against high school teacher

The Harnett County sheriff is asking the public for help to learn more about allegations of a high school teacher committing sexual misconduct with a student.

The Harnett County Sheriff's Office began its investigation into a Triton High School teacher on May 10, according to Sheriff Wayne Coats.

"It has come to my attention that students, parents, or members of the public are concerned and may have information that could assist in this ongoing investigation," Coats wrote in a Facebook post.

The sheriff did not name the teacher facing allegations.

Coats is asking for anyone with information to call the sheriff's office at 910-893-0300 or by submitting a tip online.
