Reading Time: < 1 minuteIn a move to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen its market position within Australia, Carnival Corporation & plc (CCL) today announced the strategic integration of P&O Cruises Australia into its leading brand, Carnival Cruise Line. This streamlined approach will be fully implemented by March 2025.
P&O Cruises Australia, a longstanding and respected brand known for its exceptional guest experiences and regionally focused itineraries, will be seamlessly incorporated into the Carnival Cruise Line portfolio. This strategic decision reflects CCL’s commitment to maximizing its reach and offerings within the dynamic Australian cruise market.
Passengers booked on the Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure for sailings after March 2025 can expect a smooth transition as these vessels are re-flagged under the Carnival Cruise Line banner. These ships will continue to cater specifically to Australian preferences, ensuring a familiar and enjoyable cruise experience that aligns with the established P&O Cruises Australia legacy.
The Pacific Explorer, however, will be exiting the CCL fleet in February 2025. Passengers with bookings on the Pacific Explorer for sailings after this date will be contacted directly and offered full refunds or alternative options within the Carnival Cruise Line portfolio.
It is important to note that this strategic integration solely applies to P&O Cruises Australia. P&O Cruises operations in the United Kingdom will remain unaffected and continue to operate independently.
