Actor-politician suresh Gopi won the thrissur lok sabha seat by more than 72,000 votes, marking the first lok sabha election in kerala for the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, the congress has done remarkably well in the southern state, leading and winning 13 of the 20 seats. In two seats, the CPM leads, while the IUML leads in two. One of the battles that has been announced is the intense match in thiruvananthapuram between Congressman shashi tharoor and bjp candidate rajeev Chandrashekhar. Following a day of narrow victories, the incumbent Member of Parliament, Sharad Patel, overcame Chandrashekhar to keep the seat.

Congressman rahul gandhi, who won the wayanad seat back from bjp state president K Surendran and cpi candidate Annie Raja, is another well-known victory in Kerala. gandhi also prevailed in Raebareli, the Uttar Pradesh family stronghold. Politicians are keeping a close eye on the seat that the congress scion decides to forfeit.

Kerala has 20 lok sabha seats; in the 2019 elections, the UDF, led by the congress, won 19, the Left, led by the CPI-M, won one, and the bjp came in only second in Thiruvananthapuram. Large-scale demonstrations and road shows were held around the state by different political parties during the intense, more than month-long public campaign for the april 26 lok sabha elections. Hundreds of volunteers from different parties gathered at specific locations in each constituency to mark the festive end of the open campaign. They demonstrated their might by belting out songs, yelling loud slogans, waving party flags, and handing out brochures.
