‘I’ve fostered over 130 children – helping kids as a foster parent is such a blessing’

June is National Fostering Month in Ireland. At present 5,600 children are under the care of The Child and Family Agency Tusla, 90pc of whom are in foster care.

Theresa Haughey is one such person — when her first child was 18 months old, she decided to put herself forward as a foster parent, and now, three decades later, has been a safe port in a storm to over 130 children.
