Death most likely occurred before the weekend

A body was recovered Sunday from the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
It was found near No Name about 2.5 miles east of Glenwood Springs.
“It had been in the water for some time, and right now they’re just trying to identify the body, the cause of death, the time of death and notify next of kin,” Public Information Officer Walt Stowe said. “We don’t know if it was a rafting accident or something else.”
Stowe said the death had most likely occurred before the weekend, as the body was observed to have “a little more deterioration.”
The Sheriff’s Department said they can’t share much information at the moment as it is an ongoing investigation. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
