Dead newborn found in toilet at Bowling Green IHOP; women arrested

A woman has been arrested after police said she tried to flush her newborn baby down a toilet at a Kentucky restaurant. Shaniqua Caldwell was arrested on Wednesday after officers in Bowling Green found a dead, recently born baby in the toilet of an IHOP on Scottsville Road.As a witness was on the phone with police, Caldwell reportedly walked out of the restaurant.When officers arrived to the scene, they said they found the newborn dead in the toilet.Caldwell was then arrested at a nearby motel. She denied being pregnant, and claimed to be related to both Michael Jordan and Denzel Washington. Police transported Caldwell to the hospital for a mental and physical evaluation. Caldwell is charged with a misdemeanor of concealing the birth of an infant.It's unclear when or how the baby died. The autopsy has not yet been released.
