When he made the transition from high-profile property developer to punk-rock politician in 2011, Mick Wallace was placed firmly on the left of the political divide.

A self- proclaimed “polarising figure”, it wasn’t just his unconventional fashion sense which captured attention during his time in Dáil Éireann, but his anti-establishment, predominantly left-wing views.
