Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 2507.47 points up at 76468.78 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, City Crops Agro(down 18.36 per cent), Global Longlife Hosp(down 10.65 per cent), Bhagwati Auto(down 10.10 per cent), Alkosign Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent) and Finelistings Techno(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 42 stocks closed in the green, while 8 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 733.21 points up at 23263.9.

On the BSE, Aditya Spinners, Shree Securities, Suraj Industries, Revathi Equipment and SecUR Credentials hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Unison Metals, Srestha Finvest, PTC Industries, Adani Power and GAIL touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
