Park Hyatt Changsha: A Luxurious Retreat Inspired by Nature and Art
Park Hyatt Changsha offers 230 modern rooms, including 24 suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the space in natural light. The design draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Hunan’s Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, with timber slats and a sage green palette. The spacious rooms include a lounge area and a walk-in wardrobe. Guests seeking ultimate luxury can choose the 2,884-square-foot Presidential Suite, which boasts a large living space, dining room, study area, kitchen, and gym.
Art and Design
The interiors of Park Hyatt Changsha were designed by Conran and Partners, founded by the late Sir Terence Conran. Creative Partner Tina Norden and her team drew from the natural colors and materials of Hunan province—known for its caves, waterfalls, and towering quartzite sandstone columns—and the vibrant, modern spirit of Changsha. The hotel is adorned with original paintings and sculptures, creating an ambiance that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Whether attending an event, dining at Lilan, or relaxing in private quarters, guests will feel as if they are being hosted in an extraordinary Changsha home.
Arrival Experience
Guests arrive on Level 4, greeted by a monumental maple tree and brass doors leading into a lobby adorned with artwork inspired by Hunan embroidery, featuring copper threads. The colors orange and blue reflect the lively spirit of Changsha and its waterways. A shuttle lift takes guests to Level 62, where they emerge into a vestibule lined with juniper-colored leather and dominated by bamboo spheres reminiscent of ancient Chinese ball games. The sky lobby features light oak paneling, a metallic silk screen with gold resin brush strokes, and a dramatic chandelier inspired by chrysanthemum stone by Lasvit.
Dining at Lilan on Level 62
Lilan, occupying the entire 62nd floor, is the hotel’s dining and drinking hub, offering five unique venues: a tea room, sun room, dining room, library, and bar, all with stunning views of Changsha. Executive Chef Zhang Wenwen and his culinary team present authentic local and global comfort food made with the freshest seasonal ingredients, emphasizing organic, sustainable, and locally sourced produce. In the evenings, the bar attracts guests with creative cocktails and mocktails infused with local ingredients.
Event Spaces
Located in the heart of the city, Park Hyatt Changsha provides nearly 19,375 square feet of versatile, well-equipped event spaces, perfect for gatherings of 36 to 900 attendees. The largest venues, the garden pavilion and lawn, can accommodate over 500 banqueting guests, while the pantry and salons I, II, and III are ideal for smaller groups under 200.
Wellness Facilities on Level 48
For fitness enthusiasts, the hotel offers an 82-foot heated pool crafted from 250-million-year-old Valser quartzite from the Swiss Alps and a 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment. The changing rooms feature unique facilities for the region, including a laconium with heated walls, floor, and loungers, and a herbal sauna with eucalyptus and ylang-ylang leaves for aromatherapy. Additional amenities include heated loungers with city views, a vitality pool with air-bubble seats, hydro jets, swan neck massagers, and experience showers with hydro massage and scented cold mist options, ensuring guests feel refreshed and invigorated.
