A frustrated motorist made a “heat of the moment mistake” when he got a hurley out of the boot and ran after a cyclist who had banged on the roof of his car, a court ha heard.

Kevin Fenlon (41), a supermarket manager, realised it was a “ridiculously stupid thing to do” and got back into the car while the man cycled away, a court heard.
