A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, to discuss the progress of key initiatives taken by the Ministry of Cooperation.

Officials from nine states and UTs participated in the meeting, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

The Ministry of Cooperation has initiated a number of new schemes to strengthen the cooperative movement in India, with a focus on revitalizing PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies).

The meeting emphasized the importance of collaboration between the central government and states for successful implementation of these initiatives, as cooperatives are a state subject in India.
