Dhanush unveils poster of 'Ilaiyaraaja' biopic on composer's 81st birthday
On the occasion of music composer Ilaiyaraaja's 81st birthday on Sunday, actor Dhanush unveiled a new poster from the upcoming namesake biopic of the famed music maestro. The vibrant poster shows the composer standing in front of a sea of fans. The film, starring the Atrangi Re actor in the eponymous role, will be produced by Connekkt Media, PK Prime Production, and Mercuri Movies. It was announced in March 2024.

The much-anticipated film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The project marks Dhanush's second collaboration with director Arun Matheswaran after their previous work on Captain Miller.

In addition to the biopic, Dhanush is awaiting the release of the thriller Raayan. The high-octane project features a stellar star cast including S J Suryah, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, and Dushara Vijayan. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, it is set to hit theaters on June 13, 2024. Dhanush has also helmed it.
