Gardaí launch investigation after body of man discovered in house in Monaghan

Garda have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered in a house in Co Monaghan on Saturday evening.
The remains were discovered at approximately 10pm at a property at Clones, Co Monaghan.
The body remains at the scene which is preserved for a technical examination due to take place today.
“Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in Clones, Co Monaghan on the night of Saturday, June 1,” a Garda spokesperson told the Irish Independent.
“A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.”
The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation, gardaí confirmed.
