More than a month after a man was shot inside a Shively apartment and later died, a second suspect has been arrested and indicted.Twenty-two-year-old Ronald Washington III was found shot at an apartment on April 15 in the 1800 block of Appleton Lane.Washington was taken to a nearby hospital, where died a day later.Kevin Kennebrew, 29, was arrested after the shooting and charged with complicity to murder, complicity to assault, and complicity to wanton endangerment.Court documents say that Kennebrew fired at least four shots into the apartment, which caused the death of Washington.On Thursday, Louisville Metro Police Department and Shively police arrested 23-year-old DeMarco Coney, charging him with complicity to murder, complicity to assault, and multiple counts of complicity to wanton endangerment.Court documents say that police were conducting surveillance in Fern Creek on Thursday when Coney was spotted.Police say he tried to run away, but they were able to detain him after a short pursuit.Records say that Coney tossed a firearm for the pursuit that police recovered and later discovered was stolen. He's also charged with receiving stolen property and convicted felon in possession of a handgun related to his arrest.Coney was indicted last week for his charges stemming from the deadly shooting in Shively.Both Coney and Kennebrew are scheduled to be back in court in July.
