Food trucks, motorcycles and bicycles are hitting the streets in Greeley and the surrounding area as the weather starts warming up.

The first week of June will host plenty of food trucks and outdoor events for families to enjoy, among other Best of the Week highlights.

Saturday

Father’s Day is June 16, but it’s never too early to start getting, or making, a gift for Dad. A kid’s art class will feature a Father’s Day man cave Stein painting from 3-4:30 p.m. at Work of Art Greeley, 4814 Kiowa Drive. For $25, children over the age of 5 years old can paint a Stein. The first Saturday motorcycle ride, cookout and bike wash starts at 10 a.m. at John Elway Harley-Davidson, 3010 W. 29th St., Greeley. The free cookout is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday

Loveland Bike and Trails Day is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fairground Park, 700 S. Railroad Ave. The event is a part of the Loveland Farmers Market. The day will feature local vendors, organization booths, bike safety checks, helmet fittings, bike speed radar, giveaways, trail maps, prizes and more.

Geeks Who Drink pub quiz is from 8-10 p.m. at The Tavern at St. Michael’s Square, 2918 67th Ave., Greeley.

Monday

Glow-in-the-dark rock painting starts at 2 p.m. at the Kersey Library, 332 3rd St. All supplies are provided.

Tuesday

The Loveland Luvs Food Truck Rally is from 5-8 p.m. at North Lake Park, 2750 N. Taft Ave. The rally will be hosted on select Tuesday evenings throughout the summer at the park. There will be at least four food trucks along with local businesses and music.

Wednesday

Playdate Café is from 10-11 a.m. at the Farr Regional Library, 1939 61st Ave., Greeley. The playdate allows caregivers to connect with library children’s services staff to learn about early literacy tips and community resources, all while children play with their peers.

Thursday

Texas Hold’em is from 7-10:30 p.m. at Charlie L’s Pub, 271 14th St. SE, Loveland.

Friday, June 7

The Hot Dogs and Hot Rods car show is from 2-4 p.m. at WindSong at Northridge, 7010 W. 8th St., Greeley. The show is a part of WindSong’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser. Smoking Goose BBQ and plenty of cars will be on-site. All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The fourth annual stand-up comedy night is from 5-8 p.m. at Greeley First Assembly of God Church, 3000 W. 16th St. Along with plenty of laughs, the event will include food trucks, games and other family-friendly fun. For more information, go to greeleyfirst.org/standup.

Los Amos De La Sierra performs at 5 p.m. at The Rush, 1112 40th St., Evans. Tickets can be purchased at The Rush.
